Handler has also worked as an anchor for The Tonight Show. Handler gained notoriety in 2006 by hosting her own E! show. The show was titled the Chelsea Handler Show. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted for a total of two seasons. Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the next season in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcasted her stand-up comedy shows. In 2010 it was revealed that she was going to be hosting for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. She became the second female in history, following Roseanne Barr, who hosted the VMAs.
